Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) is a national association
representing more than 24,000 merit shop construction and construction-related
firms in 78 chapters across the United States. ABC's membership represents all
specialties within the U.S. construction industry and is comprised primarily of
firms that perform work in the industrial and commercial sectors of the
industry. |

The American Society of Professional
Estimators (ASPE) serves construction estimators by providing education, fellowship,
and opportunity for professional development.
In this constantly changing world, continuing our education is
one way we can keep abreast of advances in estimating and construction
techniques. The American Society of Professional
Estimators encourages a wide range of educational activities that
provide learning experiences for estimators at all experience levels. |

The Design-Build Institute of
America (DBIA) is a membership organization founded in 1993 to advocate and
advance single source project delivery within the design and construction
community. The design-build method of project delivery embraces architecture/
engineering and construction services under a single contract, thereby
re-integrating the roles of designer and constructor. DBIA members include
practitioners from all project phases, plus public- and private-sector project
owners. |

The Electric League of Maryland, Inc. provides a vehicle for
communication within the industry. It is a liaison between electrical
manufacturers and distributors of electrical products, inspectors and the local
utility company. |

The Harford County Electrical Contractors Association and Harford Community
College offer a Maryland State approved four year Electrical Apprenticeship
Program at the Edgewood Hall Apprenticeship and Training Center. |
